WELCOME TO SJM LOVEBIRDS
ABOUT SJM LOVEBIRDS We are small breeders located in New Port Richey, Florida. We take pride in the pairs that we have and what they produce. Many of our breeder birds have been handfed and raised here. We work with several of the "normal" mutations as well as Opalines. We are working to produce Violet Edged Dilute Opalines soon. We are also setting up for alot of Orangeface Opaline mutations. All babies raised here are closed banded (unless otherwise stated of course) and handfed. We wean our birds onto a blend of Higgins seed products along with fruits and veggies. We stand by the mix that we feed our birds and have had nothing but excellent results. The mixture contains many different types of seeds as well as pineapple, papaya, star fruit, apple, coconut shreds , raisins, beans and much, much more. We "specialize" in Peachface Lovebird mutations. We currently work with Ino, Pallid, Cinnamon, Edged Dilute, Violets, Pied, Opalines. All of which we are trying to incorporate Orangeface. We are also starting to focus on "cleaning" up the Whiteface when it comes to Opalines. We are looking to expand our breeding efforts to some of the more rare mutations of Peachface Lovebirds. We will focus these efforts with Pale Fallows. We have begun to acquire some birds that are split for this mutation. We will also incorporate Opaline into this project as well. We will breed the Fallows completely devoid of mixes with any Ino, Pallid, or Cinnamon. As you view our site, we have posted pictures of our pairs so that you can see where the babies are coming from. We feel that is very important when deciding to make an addition to your breeding program or your family. We hope you enjoy our site. Feel free to email with any questions. Thanks for visiting us and enjoy.

SJM LOVEBIRDS SITE LEGEND On our site you will see different abbreviations for mutation names. We decided to list what those abbreviations are used for to make your experience here a little easier. DB-used for Dutch Blue(Aqua) SG-used for Seagreen(AquaTurquoise) WF-used for Whiteface(Turquoise) OF-used for Orangeface You will notice that when making color distinctions we use a variety of nomenclature. In the "Blue" mutations we generally use the "American" terms. In the case of Pallid, Cinnamon, and Ino we don't. We find that the use of terms like Australian Cinnamon and American Cinnamon can be confusing, especially for people who are just starting.(We know they were for us.) For those of you that prefer these terms we will list them as well. PALLID- used instead of Australian Cinnamon CINNAMON- used instead of American Cinnamon INO- used in combination with blue series mutations to describe "Creamino". PALLIDINO- used instead of Splitacinnamino CinnamonIno- used instead of Lacewing
